The groundworks are about to begin for this exciting transformation of the listed former station building into a new enterprise hub. A groundbreaking ceremony was held this week – signifying the start of work on site.

Granton Station

Located in the heart of the Granton Waterfront development, the sensitive refurbishment will provide flexible office space for local businesses and communities. The Granton Waterfront is one of Scotland’s key sustainable developments and a fundamental part of Edinburgh’s target to become a net zero city by 2030.

Our work on the scheme includes urban design and landscape services, carried out by our in-house landscape team. These provide an engaging new space outside the building, using rain gardens to cope with excess rainwater, and reflecting the historic layout of the train tracks.

We’re working with Kier Construction on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council to deliver this scheme. The existing building has stood vacant for a number of years and we look forward to seeing it brought back into use in 2022.
