OVERVIEW

Masterplan, University of Leeds

The new masterplan has been appropriately aligned with the University of Leeds' agreed academic, commercial, research, and community aspirations.

The new masterplan provides solutions to both address perceived weaknesses in the university estate and to create opportunities for growth and academic improvement.

It will guide short, medium, and long term developments, and demonstrates how public realm is safeguarded and enhanced in the context of the eight development proposals.

The masterplan provides current analysis of the existing campus, including gateways and thresholds, cultural site mapping, buildings, spaces and routes. It demonstrates how future development can be accommodated alongside enhancement of the public spaces, with improved pedestrian and transport connectivity and flow, both within the campus and adjacent urban domain.
