Christ's Hospital School

Christ's Hospital School, founded by Edward VI in 1552 is the largest educational charity in the country with a distinguished history and remarkable architectural heritage. With early work by Sir Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor, and, two hundred years later, by Sir Aston Webb and Ingress Bell, the site is arguably one of the most impressive complexes of school buildings in the country.

Our work for the school spans the last decade, starting in 1999 with analysis of the school's residential accommodation. Following this, we were appointed to masterplan the campus, undertaking a flexible programme of major works to help the school to meet the standards and expectations of the 21st century.
