Jesmond Gardens Apple Distinguished School

Jesmond Gardens Primary School in Hartlepool has been recognised as an ‘Apple Distinguished School’ for 2015-2017' for its innovative and effective implementation of Apple technology to enhance teaching and learning.

The ‘Apple Distinguished School’ is a title of distinction awarded to schools that demonstrate an innovative, successful and compelling learning environment, that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment. Five primary schools in the UK were selected for this award this year.

Jane Loomes, headteacher said:

“We are very proud of this award which recognises the use of technology to enhance learning. Our children love coming to our wonderful school. Jesmond Garden’s goal is to ensure that when they leave us, they are confident in Literacy and Numeracy and that they have developed the skills to equip them for their future adult lives.”
