Working with Conservation: St. John's School
19 July 2010ADP is hosting our next knowledgeshare workshop between 2-5pm, on the 23rd September 2010 at St. John’s School, in Leatherhead. This knowledgeshare afternoon will focus on using Conservation Plans in schools with historic buildings - to unlock their potential, helping you to achieve your estate objectives. Other topics discussed will include masterplanning and sustainability.
After the seminar sessions, there will be the opportunity to take a guided tour of a major new building inserted into the historic fabric of St. John’s School, completing the fourth side of the listed Victorian quadrangle. Working within the framework of an overall masterplan, the new building (just completed, ready for occupation in September 2010) provides the School with teaching accommodation for Art, Design and Technology, general teaching classrooms and a library: the tour will provide a fascinating case study of the principles of conservation, masterplanning and sustainability.
